The start of something (not so) new

I have officially started my second year in ISM! I am beyond excited to start my deep dive into Family Law and see where this new journey takes me this year. My first ISM journey was through the world of corporate law and while I enjoyed learning so much about the different parts that make up corporate lawyers, I have always had a curiosity for family law and what it all entails. To jumpstart my journey, this week I am planning to learn a basic overview of family law and the common fields within family law as well, since it is a very intricate law field with many different parts, I want to find out which one is the most interesting to me so that way when I look for interviews, it can be with professionals in that field.

Since I'm in ISM 2, we get the opportunity to get interviews one faster and earlier since we have done this process before. As much as I am excited to talk to professionals, I want to gain a little more knowledge about family law before scheduling some interviews. Since we have to write interview questions for our interviews, I just want to learn some more information before I begin scheduling with professionals. All in all, I am really excited to learn more about family law and begin to start my journey in this new field!
