December General Meeting

1.17.20

HELLO SUPERHEROES !!

Especially with everything going on in the world right now, it is important to honor the life of Martin Luther King Jr., who fought for racial justice and equality. Though it may just seem like a celebration, remembrance, and holiday to most, MLK Day is above all... a day of service.

Highlighting the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic can be isolating for our homeless neighbors, our division is planning on making cards to be placed in the food bags at a shelter. The project will aim to alleviate the social isolation during these times especially since MLK Day is the ONLY federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

When: Sunday, January 17th (3-4:30 PM)

Where: Zoom! The link will be sent out to you the night before the event.

What: Learn about MLK Day of Service + make cards to be placed in the food bags at a shelter.
