30 Reasons Not to be in a Play



The Advanced Theatre class will perform the ironic comedy 30 Reasons Not to be in a Play next week on March 21 & 22, Thursday and Friday nights at 6pm in the ISM Theatre (Middle School).


This is the seniors’ last production at ISM 😢 so don’t miss it. Tickets are 3,000 kyat and will be on sale soon in the high school. Middle School students can buy tickets from Mr. John.

HS Art Students Recognized



I am happy to report that sixteen ISM art students have won top honors for their artworks. After many months of hard work, of editing and revising, and of crossing fingers, the time to find out who was awarded happened this past Saturday. On February 2, ISM students’ artworks won recognition amongst other international students and schools world-wide and were selected to be included in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, an American-based juried exhibition of high school artwork. The students who received recognition are as follows.

We Celebrate Books!



PRE K4 Ms Jane’s class and Fifth Grade Ms Tamara’s class celebrate BOOKS! During our Reading Focus Week in January which included a Book Fair, Ms Tamara’s fifth graders came to share the books purchased for their younger brothers, sisters and little cousins with PK4! The pop-up books proved to be a firm favourite. The, ‘building a dinosaur’, book really captured the interest of boys in the group. More importantly books and reading was celebrated in a collaborative way which had all the children involved and READING!

KG Fire Fighters



In February, kindergarteners learned about fire safety. We learned what to do in case of a fire, fire prevention, and how firefighters help the community through reading books, group discussions, playing games, and using pretend play to act out what we learned.
