When the iPhone first came out I knew I had to be involved. I created a company called Savageapps with a couple of friends and taught myself how to code in Objective C. We created more than 60 apps, with some them reaching #1 globally. At one point we had 18 of the top 20 downloads in China. These were a suite of music creation tools that allowed anyone to create pro-sounding audio. Titles included "I Am Beatbox," "I Am Guitar", "I Am Drums" and “#Remix”. I engineered my own implementation of audio units, allowing for a breakthrough in the way music was made and experienced, with a custom interface that allowed for quadrillions of possible loop combinations. The apps were so well loved that Serj Tankian, of the 90's band "System of a Down" used my apps to create new songs for his album “Harakiri," earning a feature in Rolling Stone magazine. My work with Savage was often featured by Apple, and our guitar app was ranked number one by Guitar World Magazine.
