I finally made it to Houston! My father and I left Dallas around 3:00 PM and arrived in Houston at 8:00 PM. I have got to say, the city is beautiful. I have been getting ready for this week for months. I can't believe the time is here. Tomorrow, I am going to go meet my mentor for the first time in person. I am so excited to meet her. We have planned to do lab work all day tomorrow and I am excited to say that I will be able to touch Mars. That is something people don't usually here but my mentor made it a possibility for me.With the lab work, I am planning to formulate my final product, which I will be presenting during FPN Night. I can't thank Dr. Thomas-Keprta enough for what she has done for me. She has fulfilled a little girl's lifelong dream and I want to make her proud. This week is definitely my dream work. The next two days, I get to work in one of the world's best and prestigious labs. On Wednesday, I am going to attend the Lunar Planetary Science Conference and have the opportunity to speak with Dr. Everett Gibson. I am going to have the experience of a lifetime. One last note, I will be doing a daily blog to share with you guys about how the day went. Hope you guys can check it out.
