I had a few setbacks last week. First being that I did not get the chance to connect with three professionals before the end of the week, but I did get to find three people I want to contact. I will probably have to find two more people to connect with through LinkedIn just in case because I can not guarantee everyone will respond to my request. I plan to contact the architects in class on Tuesday since there are some things I need to clarify with Coach Goff. I hope the architects accept my request to connect with them. If not, I will have to resort to email. I am disappointed in myself for not accomplishing my goal last week, but I will continue to try hard and commit to my responsibilities this week.
Another one of my setbacks last week was that I had trouble with my final resume, but after peer reviewing my classmates resumes I had a better idea on what to include on my resume. Getting feedback on my own resume from my classmates also helped clarify my confusion, but I realized that I made many silly mistakes that I could have caught in my first draft. Besides that, I learned that I should not include my phone number in my resume, and when describing my volunteer work, I should describe it in bullet points.
Overall, I am more determined this week to accomplish my goals. Even though I had a small setback in my plans last week, I will get back on track this week.
