BUSY LIKE A BEE

While still trying to find an idea for my final product, I had to design my display board plan, complete and present my original work presentation in ISM last week, and attend my second mentor visit. Needless to say, last week was a strenuous week in ISM as so many things were happening.

I actually enjoyed designing my display board plan for the Research Showcase, which is coming up. I was able to incorporate my color scheme and utilize my creativity when creating the plan. I really need to get my display board before the day comes, so I plan on going this week (hopefully before Thursday as there is a chance of it snowing that day). I know I said I would get it last week, but then again it was so hectic last week that I did not get the time. However, I should be completely free to get the board on Wednesday.

Furthermore, I presented my original work presentation already and was able to get that out of the way. I do not know how I feel about my presentation. I think I did okay, but I definitely could have done better. In the end, I am happy I was able to present without fainting or having a panic attack.

Lastly, towards the end of the week, I visited my mentor. The most exciting part of the visit, in my opinion, was being able to learn more about the different types of glass that can be used on buildings and why. However, before I learned about the glass windows, I was in a meeting with Mr. Zapata for a short amount of time about the structure of a building in one of his projects. I realized that architecture is a creative field with many restrictions limiting the number of elements and qualities an architect can incorporate into a structure.
