Setting new goals

I finished the first half of my S.M.A.R.T goal! I completed all three of my interviews and now all I need to do is pick a mentor. Even though I am almost done with my set goals, there are still many things I want to accomplish and get done, which means more goal setting.

This week I plan to ask one of the architects I interviewed to be my mentor. I hope that they accept my request and if not I will have to contact another architect. I am excited to have a mentor and learn more about architecture, and maybe they can also assist me on my original work. Because of COVID-19, it might be difficult to find a mentor since most architecture firms are limiting visitors but I believe that I will have an architect to be my mentor.

Another goal I will accomplish this week is completing a minimum of 5 hours of my original work. Last week, I was only able to get 1 hour of work done related to my original work. In order to accomplish this goal, I plan on researching how nature impacts human health physically and mentally and also creating sketches and ideas of my design for a hospital. I will first sketch the building itself and then focus on the landscape architecture of the hospital as the landscape of the hospital is a large component of my original work.

These are just a few of the smaller goals I need to set this week to accomplish my larger goal, but if I continue setting detailed goals like this, I will be able to meet my overall goal.
