creative blocks are no fun

I feel like I accomplished many things last week. I was able to come up with a hospital design that I was satisfied with and find out more about the designing process for my original work.

I did encounter some trouble when coming up with a hospital design. I was having a creative block and most of the ideas I had did not fully satisfy me. I felt like the designs did not meet my goal of incorporating large amounts of greenery as those designs were not meant for the purpose of incorporating nature specifically.

After going back and forth with my design, I decided to stick with my original idea of doing a ring shape, but change it up to where the building was shaped like a backward “S” that was horizontal. Having this shape for the hospital, I concluded that this would allow for large walking areas outside the hospital that contained a large amount of greenery and green space for visitors and patients to walk in and relax.

I am happy with the design I came up with, but now I have to move onto my next step which is making a more finalized drawing of my design, and I also want to receive back some constructive criticism, so I will probably first ask my architecture teacher and maybe my dad since he is a doctor.

Nevertheless, I am satisfied with my work from last week, but I still have much to do, which includes preparing for my Research Speech.
