I have been struggling all of last week trying to find ideas for my final product. I still do not know what I want to do, but I had to complete a product summary last Friday, so I used one of my ideas, which was to rebuild Frisco High School. I am not the biggest fan of doing this idea for my final product, but I plan on doing more planning and research on what to do for my final product, but I need to figure out what I want to do by Friday since that is when I am meeting my mentor.
I know for my final product I want to solve something using my problem-solving skills. Coach Goff offered the idea of designing a house or building that could withstand natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornados, floods, and etc. I think it is a great idea for my final product, but I think I want to explore more because many people have addressed this problem with architecture and natural disasters before.
Besides not being able to come up with an idea for my final product, I also need to buy a poster board for the Research Showcase. Speaking of Showcase, I am super excited to be having my first Showcase, but I am a bit sad that it is not at the Star this year. However, I am grateful that we are able to have a showcase as it was difficult for Coach Goff to find a place where we could hold the Research Showcase.
