WILLING TO TRAVEL THE DISTANCE

I had my first mentor visit last Thursday! I think it went great as I learned a lot on my first visit. I learned about lighting on a building and how it can enhance a building’s features in a meeting where the lighting design team delivered some lighting ideas on one of the new projects my mentor is part of. After the meeting, I was able to go over some things about ISM with my mentor and even got to show him my original work. Overall, I believe my first mentor visit was successful and engaging.

Other than having a mentor visit last week, I researched problems within architecture today to figure out what I want to do for my final product and wrote an assessment over the article I read. The article mentioned a problem with architecture I was already familiar with and is also being addressed today. Hence, the research was not very helpful in finding ideas for my final product. However, I connected much of my past research to the article and learned more about the world of architecture.

Because of the research, I realized that I need to take a different path in the investigation to figure out what I want to do for my final product. I am aware that my idea won’t come right away, and it will take me time to develop a vision for my final product, but I am willing to travel the distance.
