The academic development of a child is considered to be extremely important and is taken care of by the teachers and parents. However, the holistic development of a child is not given much importance. In today's world, all children have different levels of creativity, talents, and interests. Good life skills are equally important along with academics.
Holistique learning focuses on the holistic development of a child. Children and students from various backgrounds are encouraged to strive hard and be the best in their lives by acquiring as many skills and knowledge as possible. Therefore, academic knowledge alone is not enough for a successful life. Holistique Learning organizes a number of morning assembly plans in order to incorporate an extra piece of knowledge among students who are not taught by anyone and is also not found in textbooks. One such morning assembly plan organized is the World Sleep Day Assembly.
World Sleep Day is celebrated on 15th March every year. This plan includes Sleep-Related Activities For Students to depict the importance of sleep. It is conducted to create awareness about sleep disturbances and it’s harmful impact on the overall health of a person. The assembly consists of a Mayan Legend based drama tilted “My Worry Dolls from Guatemala” and many other activities which depict that students should become more expressive and forget about their worries before going to bed in order to get a good sleep.
Holistique Learning conducts this assembly in various schools of different countries for Classes 1 to 10. The events and activities conducted help students to deal with various psychological problems, sleep disturbances and their impacts on health. Several Sleep Related Assembly Ideas are incorporated so that the students can understand the importance of sleep and the harmful effects of sleep disturbances on health.
