"Several years ago, Sebree Restaurant on Reynolds Rd was such a place and probably my favorite restaurant at the time. They had the best liver and onions, the best fried catfish, the best mac and cheese, excellent chicken, wonderful sweet potato pie, delicious sweet tea, and amazing green beans. I don't know how green beans could be exciting, but they did it."

Our journey







Aunt Minnie was born in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Aunt Minnie and her daughter Claudia would later open a small restaurant in Toledo, Ohio serving the kind of southern-style food that kept people satisfied at the table for hours and talking about their meals for days. Aunt Minnie’s is the brainchild of Minnie Sebree and her daughter, Sebree-Pressley. The pair opened a restaurant about 15 years ago and, after five years, closed that operation in order to focus on frozen food distribution.
