CHURCH PRODUCTION





Volunteers on the Production team keep things running smoothly during our weekend services and at events so that our attendees have a great experience meeting with the Lord and the church. They run the lighting and sound booth during services, put up slides for services and set up for services and events.



WORSHIP





Volunteers on our Worship team use their gifts and abilities to minister to the church body through the expression of worship to the Lord through music. They can lead worship at weekend services and other ministries and events throughout the week and sing or play an instrument in the worship band.

SOUL SERVICE is merely sharing our heartfelt faith in Christ with others - Sharing what He's personally done to change our individual lives! We're not called to argue or debate anyone into heaven. We're merely called to share! As in the courtroom, we're called to be a witness for the Gospel, not the lawyer, judge or jury… Leave that up to God!

PO'SHINES : CAFE DE LA SOUL



PORTLAND'S BEST SOULFOOD





Po’Shines: Cafe De La Soul is a non-profit soul food cafe. They serve everything from fried catfish, to BBQ ribs, to chicken and waffles and lattes. All of their profit goes back into the cafe and to their youth training program. As a part of the Teach me to Fish program they provide training and counseling to youth and young adults of our community who are in need of such services as job skills, life skills and GED preparedness. Their mission is simple: feed the community and feed it well. Mind, Body & Soul.

PEOPLE REACHING PEOPLE EXPECTING RESTORATION





PROPER seeks to improve communities through pro-active communication and greater awareness by generating open dialogue and lasting relationships between local businesses, organizations, churches and individuals. PROPER holds various community events throughout the year, including Thanksgiving Feeds and Annual PROPER Festivals in Portland. Most PROPER festivals include booths from local businesses, churches and organizations, free food, family entertainment, local talent and local speakers.

FRESH START



RESTORATIVE HEALTH SERVICE





Fresh Start for Restorative Health is a team of experienced life coaches, trainers nutritionists and professionals. Their goal is to empower uninsured and at risk members of the community through education and training to establish improved health. They focus on major American diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Fresh Start offers free lectures, workshops and community exercise events throughout the year. Individual consultations and coaching sessions are also offered.

HEALING THE WORLD THROUGH SONG





Since the founding of Celebration Tabernacle in 1988, the diversity of the congregation and staff has always been a trademark of the church. Mondainé uses this background and experience to try and get people talking and examining themselves in the role that racism plays in communities across the nation.


This is not the first time that Mondainé and his congregation has left their corner of the country to spread hope and unity. Celebration Tabernacle has traveled to Lancaster, PA after their tragic school shooting in 2006, to Price, UT after the coal mine collapse in 2007 and to Joplin, MO after a catastrophic tornado hit in 2011 and most recent trip to Charleston, SC for the Emanuel 9 in June of 2015.


Each one of these trips had a simple purpose of prayer, song and comfort. To those who need it most. Hince the name “Voices of A Thousand Angels” “This is the first time an incident like this has hit so close to home,” says Mondaine, “People are angry, and confused, and hurt. But now is the time to join together, to talk to each other, to join hands and raise our voices as one.”



TEACH ME TO FISH



GIVE A MAN FISH, HE'LL EAT FOR A DAY...





TMTF is a program that is in direct response to the growing number of underserved people that are either falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the juvenile court system. The goal of the program is to identify youth who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood (or already have) and offer a positive support system and training to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the underserved to make positive changes in his/her life and the world around us.
