The new homeowner saw the potential of this little 900 square foot Hudson, Ohio home. The before and after photos really tell the story of how a little love and imagination can go a long way.

As you can see below the exterior was in decent shape but needed some TLC. After some tree trimming, a power wash, fresh paint and windows the charm of this home comes to life.

The interior was not well cared for and extremely dated. The addition of a HVAC system and duct work in the basement was necessary. Hardwood was hiding under that awful carpet. The paneling came down and was replaced with new drywall. The replacement windows were trimmed in a style complementary to the age of the home. The result modern and cozy.

The homeowner wanted to maintain some of the original features so this built-in cabinetry was carefully cleaned and restored.

A little imagination, faith and excellent carpentry skills allowed us to eliminate a hall and open up the home a bit. Behind the small doors are pantries. The center is now the basement stairway and blue room to the left is now a powder room with vintage fixtures.

Wow this kitchen had seen better days. It was a totally gutted. However the vintage cast iron enameled sink with drain boards was refinished and reused. It ads a ton of charm to this now modern kitchen. The windows were reconfigured. The new white inset cabinet doors and subway style backsplash continue the vintage feel.

Lastly the bathroom, what a positive change! We promise we moved the vent stack in the corner and removed the inset medicine cabinet that had been painted over. Sometimes we wonder what homeowners are thinking. Matching hardwood and new plumbing complement the existing claw foot tub. The homeowner put plenty of sweat equity into refinishing this tub and painted the exterior a soft yellow.
