This project started during my time in Japan, where stereotyping is prevalent but not actively discussed. Going against the idea that we apply labels to people during social encounters,
I created these anti-labels, which readily challenged stereotypes.
The web page here has the potential to initiate a social campaign. The audience might choose to create their bespoke anti-labels, which will then be crafted and mailed out. The web page would also encourage the participants to share their labels onto social media platforms.
These anti-labels are fit for diverse surfaces. They can be worn as fashion accessories, used as laptop stickers, or applied as interior décor.
