The way we listen to music has gone through dramatic changes in the past decade. Our emotional attachment to music declines as we switch from owning physical copies of vinyls to digitally purchasing music in iTunes store, to streaming music on Spotify, and now to listening to music through smart speakers.
This project utilised a simple convolutional neural network (CNN) with machine learning in exploring novel ways to define our musical identity. The design enquires about the potential of a personalised smart music system that reflects on the patterns discovered from our eating habit. It aims to help regain a deeper connection with music in the digital age.
