Pilar currently in the production office of PARADISE CITY PRODUCTIONS in London under the wing of producers Emilie Georges and Naima Abed (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, STILL ALICE, TRUE HISTORY OF THE KELLY GANG).
On the side Pilar founded production company PILI MILI FILMS based in Manchester, along writer & director Milda Baginskaite.
She has produced multiple short films, promo content and two digital shows that have screened in numerous international film festivals, including BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying ones, achieving awards and special mentions along the way.
Her most recent films; "THE LAST COWBOY IN SALFORD", "THE WORLD IS OURS FOR THE TAKING" and “TEDDY” were awarded funding after winning respectively the BFI Fund, New Creatives North fund (BBC Arts) and the Girls In Film fund sponsored by Dr Martens; “Layla, At Last” awarded the Sharjah Art Foundation fund and shot in Spain and Morocco. Other success stories include: Swinton’s “Unearthed” awarded funding after winning the Challenge Alexa Competition with ARRI and DIRECTORS UK; Alexander’s “Léo” receiving a nomination at the Student Royal Television Society Awards and screening in renowned festivals such as Camerimage in Poland; and Baginskaite’s “Pink Pool” starring Mireia Oriol (Netflix’s “Alma” and “Hockey Girls”), selected into four BAFTA qualifying festivals among others.
Pilar is currently developing more short, serial and long format projects.
