Author's Note

Saint Volume II.

"To those who were scrutinized for being too destructive and rebuilt many heavens anyway."

When it comes to the feeling of desire, yearning, or hunger, there is nothing humble or subtle about it. Using the image of Angela Hayes (played by Mena Suvari) laying in a bed of falling roses in the Sam Mendes-directed 1999 film, American Beauty, with those specific lines in my journal were intentional. The scene serves as one of the biggest highlights in the film and the moment where the protagonist, suburban middle-aged bored man Lester Burnham (played by Kevin Spacey), begins to yearn for the rollercoaster high of passion in his life again. The craving to feel again.
