Death of Fantasy:

Nostalgia + All Its Beauty

Nostalgia + All Its Beauty is a piece conveying inner dialogue. In the opening paragraph, readers are introduced to the idea of a fictitious sense of purity and security being put to an end. After the death of fantasy, there is a setting where the remaining feelings and effects are left to be sorted out through reassessing the reality of the situation. Once the ghosts of the past are revisited, the attachment to the memory that is no longer being honored is brought to the surface only to be discarded. At first, there’s a question of whether or not this was the right choice to make and then there is acceptance with the consequences of moving on from a reality that never was. The fantasy was no longer worth keeping up with or holding on to.
