• Is interested in working in the nonprofit sector, research, or public policy
• Has evident experience with research-based academic writing
• Has knowledge of best practices for citing and verifying sources
• Has experience with Slack
• Has flexible availability
• Is passionate about human, civil, and BIPOC rights and in tune with our political climate
• Has a positive attitude and is a good team player!
Your responsibilities in this position include:
• Locating credible sources for the organization’s social media content, centered around amplifying the stories of those impacted by state-sponsored violence and current events
• Assisting the executive board with grant research (no prior experience required)
• Collaborating with the Writing/Editing team to curate research-based articles and infographics
• Helping officers develop partnership strategies
• Working with the marketing team to implement industry insights into marketing/branding plans
• Regularly attending general meetings
