Almost at the Finish Line

09 December 2019

This past week in ISM I confirmed with my mentor, Ms. Lena Quach, an Experience UX Researcher at Capital One, and I sent her the mentor background check and ISM Mentor Handbook. After establishing these first steps, we discussed possible meeting dates for our first mentor visit and are planning to have a mentor visit prior to the beginning of winter break. I also establish monthly meeting visits in person with Mr. John Keese, am Experience UX Architect at projekt202, and have phone calls with Ms. Rania Svoronou. All of my interview and professional connections will provide me with new perspectives on my Original Work and design project throughout.

I also started to work on my final research paper after completing all necessary research on UX Design methods and Experience design trends. In terms of my original work, I am writing a research paper over trends within User Experience Design, and will analyze the effectiveness of current design methods for future trends in Artificial Intelligence, Voice Design, Transparency, and so much more. Through this, I will gain advanced insight in regards to my research and this will go more in-depth in terms of the professional interviews that I have already conducted.

This past week, I gained numerous skills such as communication, dedication, and focus, especially in terms of completing my original work and finalizing all the details. I am truly excited to finish my paper, create my design plan, and start conducting user research with my project.
