“Progress Equals Hapiness” - Tony Robbins

This past week in ISM I worked on getting further approval from the DMV and through this discovered that I could potentially interview county employees that work for the TAC. This is located in Frisco and getting approval to interview employees would be much easier than trying to get approval to interview state employees. I sent the TAC an email and plan to follow up with the DPS again on Monday to see where my approval is within that application.

I also interviewed another user for my project and in doing so I was able to gain more information about their experience and how it relates to the information that my previous interviews have provided me with. One thing that was interesting that they mentioned was how the DMV is extremely specific in terms of documentation and how one of their pain points was the fact that it was really hard to keep track of all their documents and see exactly what they need to take. They also mentioned how the experience of waiting in line and the layout of the DMV itself was also another major issue. This was interesting as it was similar to what another user mentioned about how the experience of waiting in line is essentially the worst part about being at the DMV.

Overall, I learned a lot about communication, listening and sharing empathy, and keeping track of all of my data and emails this week in ISM. I am still continuing to progress forward with my User Research and plan to start coding my data this upcoming week.
