This past week in ISM I had my fifth mentor visit in total and third mentor visit with Ms. Quach. This mentor visit was really special and exciting to me, as this was my first mentor visit where I got to go to the Capital One campus and see the space and meet her team. When I first got there, Ms. Quach introduces me to some of her colleagues and it was interesting to meet different people with different roles such as visual designers, rotational development, marketing, and many more within design. During this mentor visit, I also got to attend an Affinity Diagramming session, and this was really helpful to me as I got to combine my informational research and reading with a visual experience. Overall, I learned a lot more about User Research and how to go about conducting and analyzing data through different methods such as Affinity Diagramming, User Testing sites, and even Coding data in spreadsheets.
Overall, this past week in ISM was successful as I had a mentor visit and also called and emailed the higher-ups at the DPS and DMV. This was definitely progress in terms of my design project, and I learned a lot of skills such as organization, communication, and observations.
