When the Going gets Tough. The Tough get Going.

This past week in ISM, in regards to my Mentorship decision, I sent several follow up requests to Andrea Sutton, the Vice President of Design Technology at AT&T, and the first professional that I interviewed. However, after numerous tries to reach out to her via email, LinkedIn, phone, and even through her secretary, I was still not able to get a response. As a result, I emailed John Keese, an Experience Architect, at projekt202 and am currently waiting on a follow-up response. Although this was not the response and situation I wanted to be in, I am still able to make this work and continue to focus on my research and Original Work.

Alongside this, I also began my research speech and am currently working on adding to and organizing my research portfolio with all of my primary and secondary assessments. Towards the end of the week, I researched the purpose of Prototyping within UX Design and am currently reading an article over the different methodologies in order to choose at least three that I want to focus on for my research analysis and my final product.

Overall, this past week in ISM has taught me a lot about dedication and continuing and have a strong work ethic. Although I have to make time for my research during a busy schedule, this has taught me to continue to follow my passion and use the time I have and maximize the research and understanding within those few hours. I have also learned to become more organized and task-oriented, and all of these objectives and skills that I gain will continue to aid me in my own UX Design career in the future.
