My name is Mizzy Pacheco though I've been called a lot of things. For the most part I would say I'm simply an artist who's been lucky enough to do the things I love to do for as long as I've been able to do them. I'm blessed and grateful for the many adventures I've been on and ever hopeful to still learn a trick or two in my personal quest to create art. I tend to divide my time between landscape photography and many forms of music over the years. I study and sing opera to some degree but I still spend many hours in front of a computer screen staring at landscape photographs, trying to understand composition and the frame that defines such a thing. I have been fortunate enough to tour the world, to wander in pretty places and to meet many great people thanks to music and photography over the years and I imagine I'll continue that trend as long as I can. I've owned my own photography gallery on the PCH in Malibu where I lived for almost a decade and created a show on youtube called "12 Moons Over Paradise" based on that experience. I also had a weekly column called "Malibu Light" in the local Malibu Surfside news for many years called "Malibu Light". I would say nothing really defines me per say and that every day is a new smack in the face filled with humbling opportunities for learning. I plan on releasing a new record soon, one that I've been working on for some time now while my camera was collecting dust and dressed in ashes from the Woolsey fire... but I've recently cleaned her up and have been dreaming of the mountain tops again and the beautiful lines that nature graces us with during her always interesting moments of rising and falling light. You could say that the Malibu fires did more than burn down the place I called home, they inspired me to rise again somehow and to remember things that I might have forgotten. Simpler things. That's where I am today. Climbing that hill still, hunting, for meaning through art. Thank you so much for visiting this place.
