It's [video]
It's is a short poem thing I wrote for my friend Jess's zine, and I thought I'd make this little video of it.
It's [poem]
a poem about the G word
(gender)
not much else to say
(Plastic) Carnations [song/video]
(Plastic) Carnations is a song that I wrote originally years ago, about a funeral celebrating the life of a sister I never had.
as my feelings (and traumas) around my gender identity and my femininity have become more clear over the last year or so, this song feels relevant in a new way. so I recorded the song and made it into a video.
(CW: contains implied reference to gender dysphoria and death)
rehearsal room seven [film]
a short film made from images, footage, words and chance events taken from a studio session a while ago.
this is about boredom, repetition, objects and missing the safety and structure of education.
The Safe Use of Ladders + Stepladders [zine]
my zine that accompanied the performance at Arrival
shoot with Natasha Mottaghi
my good friend Natasha took some pics of me in some of my DIY clothes for a project about punk fashion
Arrival Festival [design]
Arrival was a two-day festival which made up the final presentation of my MA cohort's work.
i created all the visual marketing for the festival, including a poster, flyers, a zine and a trailer without knowing anything about photoshop. (all except the logo - designed by my good pal Mitchell Smith)
very proud of myself.
LIKE NO PLACE (film)
this is a film I made about home, nostalgia, melancholy and growing up.
i've wanted to make something about my home ever since I found myself falling out of love with it.
there are some complicated feelings that I've expressed in here the best or most interesting way I can, but it's still very personal, so I don't know if it's that accessible.
hopefully you can take something from it.
I Think I'm On Another World With You (zine)
i made a little zine that was given out after this performance.
it's just some reflections on the project and some reading about prison abolition, the philosophy of prisons and punishment, and alternative systems of justice.
