The study of decadal-scale droughts and mega-droughts in semi-arid tracts of India and North America
A cohort of scientists comprising of 4 scientists from the United States, 22 scientists from India, 4 graduate students and one engineer to discuss climate, environment and related human dimension issues associated with megadroughts at IISER Mohali between January 1-4, 2020. Host institution: Indian Institute of Science and Education Research (IISER)-Mohali. The talks ranged from paleoclimate and paleoenvironmental reconstructions as well as human dimension issues (including groundwater). The final day also allowed for three productive breakout sessions.
