About Us



Space Summer School (SSS) is a space themed summer school covering more than 50 interactive lecture sessions in ten exploration tracks for students in three levels as abecedarian (grade 5th-8th), virtuoso(grade 9th-12th) and experts (enrolled in under-graduate/ graduate/ post graduate program). In addition to 50 interactive sessions, Space Summer School will have a canvas of space themed activities, hands on workshops, seminars, social events, themed dinner and astronomy night.

About Us



Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad is a pioneer institution in Pakistan offering graduate & undergraduate programs in Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Material Science & Engineering along with Space Science and Remote Sensing & GISc. IST is ranked amongst top four engineering universities of Pakistan and is determined to expand the public's awareness in the field of space Technology.

Institute of Space Technology has a legacy of arranging International and National events for creating awareness among the general public related to Space Technology. IST has the heritage of celebrating World Space Week for last 12 years. IST has a remarkable history of arranging World Space Week and is ranked first for organizing maximum number of events in Pakistan for year 2016 by International World Space Week association.



Famous Saying of Galileo Galilei , "All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered ; but the point is to discover them". Summer Space School gave me an opportunity to explore my skills , to built up my confidence and to provide me a best way to choose my future career. Even in this era , Students didn't know anything about space before they take admission in University. But IST launches Space Summer School and provides an opportunity for students to look in to Space and how the field of space is interested.
