Dr. Mitch MaGee is a board-certified thoracic surgeon who serves as Surgical Director of Thoracic Oncology and the Minimally Invasive Therapy Institute for Lung and Esophagus at Medical City Dallas Hospital and is on staff at numerous DFW area hospitals. Dr. MaGee is a recognized expert, having authored more than 100 articles or book chapters in notable medical journals and textbooks, on minimally invasive (VATS) techniques, patient-care quality measures, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer, tumors of the thymus and mediastinum, and surgical treatment of myasthenia gravis, hyperhidrosis, and emphysema. Through affiliation with national cancer research organizations, he provides patients with new, cutting-edge treatment options and access to clinical trials. Dr. MaGee founded and is Medical Director of the CLEAR (Comprehensive Lung Evaluation and Resource) Clinic, which serves as a resource for primary care physicians and patients to obtain LDCT lung cancer screenings, management of lung nodules, and second opinions in management of diseases of the chest.
