Holistique Learning conducts morning Onam Assemblies to teach and make the students realize the significance of onam. Onam is a ten days harvest festival, celebrated in Kerela. It is an important festival that takes us on a trip to understand and celebrate our ancient culture. It is celebrated at the beginning of the month of Chingam, the first month in the solar Malayalam calendar. The festival is celebrated during the month of August or September every year.
How Holistique Learning teaches the significance of the rich culture of the festival?
During the morning Onam Assembly, Holistique Learning tries to teach the mythological legend associated with the festival of Onam. They teach how onam is celebrated differently on each of the ten days. They present a drama portraying the legend that teaches an important lesson that how good always wins over evil. The drama tries to present the vital role of qualities of charity, humanity, humility, and politeness that plays in our life. They conduct the assembly on any of the ten days of onam with proper arrangement of school authorities for students of grade 1 to 10.
